Sept, 11 2008YONKERS - A 19-year-old city woman who called Family Car Service, a local cab company, was sexually molested at knifepoint by the driver who picked her up, police said yesterday.

Police from the Third Precinct later picked up the suspect, Adalberto Marquez, 29, who is also known as "Bam Bam," at the Riverdale Avenue taxi company.

Marquez, of 6 Schroeder St., was arrested after the woman identified him as her attacker.

Eurpede Aquno, 54, the owner of Family Car Service, said Marquez is not a driver for his company. Aquno said a second man who was in the car with the suspect was his driver. Asked why Marquez was driving the car, Aquno replied, "I can't tell you exactly."

The victim called Family Car Service and a car was sent to pick her up at 36 Purser Place about 1 a.m. Tuesday, police said. Marquez was driving the car and an unidentified man was a passenger.

The victim asked to be driven to 95 Radford St. She told police Marquez drove at a high speed and drove past her destination. He drove to an isolated area on Bruce Avenue. The second man got out of the car and Marquez climbed over the seat into the back of the car, police said. He was accused of molesting the woman.

He stopped and then drove to secluded area on Landscape Avenue, police said. This time Marquez brandished a knife and molested the fare, police said.
